American Brain Tumor Association - Offers free publications on brain tumors, support groups, referrals, pen pal program and funds research.

American Cancer Society - Publications on treatment and patient care; support groups.  Wigs are available through the local office.

American Institute for Cancer Research - Cancer research information

BMT Family Support Network - Links patients with survivors for emotional support. Call 1-800-826-9376 for information.

Cancer Books - Online source of related books.

Cancer Care - Publications and phone counseling.

Cancer Hope Network - Information on support groups and networks.

Cancer Research Institute - Information on cancer research.

Cancer Resource Center - Local (Lincoln, Nebr.) resource center; access to research trials.

Leukemia Society of America - Free public information resource line, publications, support groups, peer connections and other programs for people with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and Hodgkin's disease.

Lymphoma Research Foundation - Funds research grants for lymphoma; provides educational materials, support group and networking information; newsletter.

Monroe Cancer CenterNational Cancer Institute (NCI) - Information on current cancer treatment and clinical trials.

National Coalition on Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) - Publications; referrals; national advocate on rights of cancer patients and survivors. Call 1-888-650-9127 for more information.

National Hospice Organization - Information and publications regarding hospice care.  Online list of local hospices, reimbursements and basic hospice information.

National Lymphedema Network, Inc. - Publishes quarterly newsletter and provides referrals.

National Marrow Donor Program - Transplant center director; publication on donor searches, recruitment and being a volunteer.

National Ovarian Cancer Coalition - Promotes education regarding all the facts, issues and problems surrounding ovarian cancer.

Oncolink - Education and support resource.

Patient Advocate Foundation - National non-profit organization that serves as an active liaison between the patient and their insurer, employer and /or creditors to resolve insurance, job retention and/or debt crisis matters relative to their diagnosis through case managers, doctors and attorneys.

Support for People with Oral, Head and Neck Cancer, Inc. (SPOHNC) - Self-help program of support for those dealing with head and neck cancer.

Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - Sponsor of "Race for the Cure" events; funds national breast cancer research, project grants and local education, screening and treatment projects.

The Skin Cancer Foundation - Provides education and resource materials.

US TOO International, Inc. - Provides prostate cancer survivors with emotional and educational support through a network of support groups and quarterly newsletters.

Y-ME - Hotline counseling, educational programs and self-help meetings for breast cancer patients, families and friends. Also provides a Y-ME Mens' Support Group.

American Academy of Family Physicians - All of the information within familydoctor.org has been written and reviewed by the physicians and patient education professionals at the American Academy of Family Physicians.
